App Connect Enterprise
IBM App Connect Enterprise v11
[Erstwhile IBM Integration Bus (IIB)]
Course Duration: 35 Hours
Overview:
IBM App Connect Enterprise combines the existing, industry-trusted technologies of IBM Integration Bus with IBM App Connect Professional and with cloud native technologies; to deliver a platform that supports the full breadth of integration needs across a modern digital enterprise. It supports many operations, including routing, transforming, filtering, enriching, monitoring, distribution, collection, correlation, and detection.
Using the IBM App Connect Enterprise Toolkit, you can develop integration solutions and deploy them to IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, the dedicated runtime of IBM App Connect Enterprise software, and to IBM App Connect Enterprise on IBM Cloud. You can use an extensive range of administration and systems management options to manage your integration solutions.
Optional Prerequisites:
- Basic knowledge of MQ
- Basic knowledge of integration projects
- Basic knowledge of working with REST APIs / SOAP Webservices
Course Contents:
- Understand the essential features and uses of IBM App Connect Enterprise to create and manage enterprise integration solutions.
- Create a hybrid integration between SaaS applications and an on-premises stock system.
- Use the Enterprise Toolkit to create a REST API / callable flow for an on-premises custom application (stock system).
- Create and use an integration server as a local runtime on premises.
- Deploy a REST API / callable flow into the integration server, and call the REST API to retrieve data from the on-premises stock system.
- Use IBM App Connect on IBM Cloud to create an event-driven flow to run the hybrid integration from the cloud, interacting with the SaaS applications, and with the on-premises stock system (through the callable flow).
- Use IBM App Connect on IBM Cloud to test the complete hybrid integration solutions.
- Create and use an integration node to manage an integration server in an on-premises multi-server runtime, and use callable flows across separate integration servers in the local runtime.
Explore the back-end application including the use of custom Java and the logging of data to a local file.
- Installation of MQ, working with MQ Explorer and Integrating with ACE.
- Develop Integration solutions using Message Transformation - Flat File to XML, JSON to XML, CSV to XML using Compute Node ESQL.
- Develop Integration solutions using various Routing techniques – Filter, Flow Order, Route to Label, Propagation and Aggregation nodes using Compute Node ESQL.
- Develop Exception handling and logger sub flows.
- Integration with Database –IBM DB2 and Database operations [CURD]
- Developing REST API and SOAP Webservice Provider and Consumers interfaces.
- Full ESQL coverage with hands on experience – Environment, Local Environmental, Shared, External variables, ESQL built in functions, working with Loops etc.
- Deployment considerations, best practices and administering and troubleshooting integration components.
- Mini Project Work – 1 [Student Exercise]
- Mini Project 2 [Student Exercise]
